Car & Driver Overview:
An entertaining hardtop convertible that has a solid, refined feel and an attractive interior that its rivals can’t quite match. The rear seat is smallish, and the cargo room shrinks radically when the top goes down. Superb turbo four provides good power and returns respectable fuel economy.

Appears dumpy from some angles, cargo capacity shrinks with the top down, lacks the precise feel of other VW products.
